Agta-Bulos Kawayanan: Dumagat Bamboo Forest Initiative (ABK DBFI) 

Here’s a glimpse of the journey that brought ABK DBFI to life—from community engagement to planting hope for a greener tomorrow.

May 26, 2025 – Conducted the initial meeting with the Dumagat community and the National Power Corporation (NPC), laying the groundwork for the initiative.

June 6, 2025 – Held an orientation meeting and ceremonial MOA signing with Dumagat household heads, formalizing the partnership.

July 2, 2025 – Conducted the final site inspection and initial bamboo planting to ensure the site’s readiness for the main activity.

July 12, 2025 – Successfully launched the Bamboo Tree-Planting Activity and Medical Mission— uniting nature, culture, and community care.

With the support of the Dumagat community and partners like the PAA–Tamarind Chapter, NPC, and BENRO, DBFI continues to nurture its advocacy for Kawayan, Kalikasan, Kabuhayan.

Together, let’s keep planting not just bamboo—but seeds of sustainability, solidarity, and shared growth.
